Frank Bria, Principal

Frank Bria has more than 20 years of experience in the financial services sector involving data analysis, loss forecasting, marketing analytics, and technology process design supporting retail banking.


Frank is one of the pioneers of price optimization in retail banking having conducted some of the first implementations and pilots in the industry. He also has redesigned retail banking customer experience for several large banks including account opening, servicing, and collections processing. His specialty is using data and analytics to improve the customer experience and deliver bottom-line results.


Frank’s experience includes consulting for 9 of the top 10 retail banks in the United States as well as 27 of the top global 50. He has experience with bank pricing and processes in North America, Europe, Australia New Zealand, and Asia. Frank was an analyst for CEB TowerGroup (now Gartner) covering analytics in the retail banking space, publishing a number of reports on price optimization, customer profitability, and customer experience. In previous positions, he designed software offerings in front line sales enablement, price optimization and loss mitigation analytics at Nomis Solutions, Earnix, Cambio Technologies, Response Analytics and Khimetrics/SAP and provided technology and analytic support to a number of operational processes at Capital One. He started his career as a pension consultant with Chicago Consulting Actuaries.


Frank is the bestselling author of the book, Seven Billion Banks, and has been a featured speaker and contributor at a number of industry conferences world-wide. Frank holds a Master of Science in mathematics from Purdue University and a Masters of Engineering in systems engineering from Colorado State University. He is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt.

Tery Spataro, Executive Director Research

Tery Spataro is a leader in marketing strategy and research. She known for providing businesses with a human-centric research approach to understand pain points and needs for transforming or innovating brands and products. Tery is no stranger to solving wicked problems, shifting mindsets and kaleidoscopic landscapes. She is a first-generation digital technology innovator. Tery helps many businesses change from traditional thinking to fostering an empathic mindset. She developed a design thinking approach that brings together stakeholders and consumers, to solve problems and discover groundbreaking ideas.


Tery held executive positions with divisions of WPP, IPG, and OmniCom, where she managed and provided research, innovation and transformation strategy. No stranger to entrepreneurial life, she cofounded STIR, one of New York’s first digital tech marketing firms. She is a speaker at universities and conferences providing thought leadership, and is quoted in books and articles about innovation, business, and marketing. Tery has an MBA in marketing from Regis University.
